Lower Back Pain

Lower Back Pain: There are many causes of lower back pain. Sometimes the problem starts instantly after a fall or auto accident. However, most often, it is repetitive stress to the spine that leads to a low-level chronic irritation that manifests during a simple task like bending down to tie your shoes or even coughing. Often symptoms such as sharp pain, muscle spasm, numbness, tingling, and difficulty moving or changing positions are how a patient describes one of these episodes. With as many types of symptoms and presentations, there are equally as many causes. A few of these can be very serious, but an overwhelming majority can be treated conservatively with great success. The doctors of NWCC are experts in diagnosing the cause of lower back pain and determining when Chiropractic treatment is appropriate for you, as well as the few cases when additional medical intervention may be needed. We have found that by providing clients with specific chiropractic adjusting, treatment of injured muscles, rehabilitative exercises, flexion/distraction (i.e. spinal decompression), and low level laser therapy, we have not only helped people deal with their symptoms, but effectively treated the cause of their problem in a non-surgical manor. Rehabilitation in our office as well as a home exercise program is a component of each patient’s treatment plan so that they can strengthen the area of injury to lessen the chances of re-aggravation. Thousands of low back pain patients have crawled through the doors of NWCC seeking help, and walked out knowing they made the best decision concerning where to receive treatment for their condition.
