“I can honestly say there is no way I would have been able to train for and finish an IRONMAN Triathlon without Dr. Rindal…after suffering from chronic IT-Band problems, he got me running again pain-free for the first time in years.”

~Carrie Regan 2007

Extremity Problems

Extremity Problems: Shoulder Impingement syndrome, rotator cuff tendonitis, Tennis Elbow, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Plantar Fasciitis, Runner’s Knee, Iliotibial Band Syndrome, and so on. These are some of the names given to describe various extremity joint pathologies. Many people hear these terms and think months and months of rehabilitation, or worse yet, surgery. The doctors at NWCC take a unique approach in treating patients with these conditions. Many times the patients we successfully treat come to us as a “last resort” because they have seen everyone else. The doctors at NWCC have performed hundreds of hours of post-graduate training on extremity (i.e. shoulder, knee, ankle, etc) rehabilitation and use cutting edge treatment protocols to correct the source of the dysfunction. To treat extremity conditions we use: Chiropractic extremity adjusting protocols, evaluate all adjacent joints for muscle weakness and compensation of stabilizing muscles, Active Release Technique to treat myofascial adhesions, Erchonia low level laser therapy (to promote healing, decrease pain, and decrease inflammation), support of the injured area with the proper brace or Kinesio Tape, and specific rehabilitative exercises of the supporting muscles. Although some cases involving soft-tissue tears (i.e. muscle, ligament, or tendon), or excessive degeneration, may require surgery or additional intervention, a majority of cases fall within the scope of what the doctors of NWCC can successfully treat.
